Aren't all faiths/religions true?

Jesus Is GodMany times have I heard someone say that it doesn't matter what a person believes about God, because all are the same and all are true. Sounds nice, doesn't it?

But it's not true. If there's even one contradiction between religions, the "all same/all true" argument falls apart. And believe me, there are many contradictions between the religions.

Let's take for example the 3 major monotheistic "religions" of modern times: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. There are many differences between the three religions.

The Bible tells us:

  • Christ is the only way to God.
    • Jesus said to him "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6
    • Neither is there salvation in any other (than Jesus): for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
  • Christ is the Savior.
    • For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11
  • Christ died on the cross to redeem us.
    • For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:6-11
  • Christ rose from the dead.
    • Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." Matthew 28:1-7
  • Christ is the Son of God.
    • Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?" So He said to them, "You rightly say that I am." Luke 22:70
  • Christ is God.
    • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him...He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. John 1:1, 3, 10, 14
    • Jesus saith. "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" John 14:9
    • For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7
    • (Jesus said) I and my Father are one. John 10:30

Now think about what Islam teaches. Islam teaches that Christ was a prophet and a good teacher and man, but that he is not the Son of God, nor God himself, nor even the Savior, and that he is not the way to God.

And what about Judaism? Judaism doesn't teach Christianity's view of Christ, either; in fact, they don't even teach that he was a prophet.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam teach opposite beliefs about Jesus Christ, so ask yourself this:

How can three contradictory religions all be the same and alll be true?

God bless you and we pray that you will come to know the grace, mercy and love of Jesus Christ.
